Additional bus to be added to the Route 96 school service between Palmeira Square and Hangleton

Brighton & Hove Buses have announced that an additional school service on Route 96 will commence from this Monday 2nd October. The service will operate between Palmeira Square and Hangleton to cater for increased numbers of schoolchildren travelling on this route.

Currently there are two services operating on Route 96 each morning, but this will be increased to three from Monday to provide the additional capacity.

The additional bus will leave Palmeira Square at 07.31 on schooldays and run via Western Road, Church Road, New Church Road, Portslade Station and The Grenadier.

Nick Hill, Commercial Director at Brighton & Hove Buses said: “We’re glad to be able to provide this additional service to the Route 96. It is important that we evolve with the changing needs of the city, and this service has become increasingly busy as more and more school students are using the route. We hope that this will make the school run easier for everybody who uses it.”

The additional 96 bus will commence on Monday 2nd October.
