Esben and The Witch to release split LP
Three-piece rock band, Esben and The Witch, are set to release their new single No Dog next month. The track is part of an upcoming split LP to be released on April 7th with Thought Forms, through Invada Records.

Hypnotized release Telesto
The Brighton-based trio, Hypnotized, released their 5-track EP Telesto on March 24th. The experimental group, named after a Spaceman 3 song, released the EP through music label Love Thy Neighbour. The band released their debut single Ghost Walk back in February.


Great Escape add further acts
Another 150 acts have been added to The Great Escape line-up for this summer’s festival. Widely Acclaimed four-piece Wild Beasts and former Strokes’ guitarist Albert Hammond are among the big names announced for the three-day festival that is now in its 9th year.

Birdeatsbaby single release
The indie noir band Birdeatsbaby will release their new single The Bullet on April 4th ahead of their upcoming third album The Bullet Within. The Brighton-based four-piece, who formed in 2008, have been unsigned for the last five years and were forced to self-fund their latest album.


Jazz Festival announces first acts
The Love Supreme Jazz Festival returns to Glynde Place this summer with a whole host of international stars. One of the must-see music events of the year, the three-day festival has announced acts including Grammy-award-winner Jamie Cullum and Brighton-based soul singer Alice Russell during the weekend that will see over 50 acts will perform in East Sussex.

BMC DJ Line-up Revealed
DJ’s for the inaugural Brighton Music Conference have been announced with headliners including dubstep icon Skream, acid-house originator DJ Pierre and Above And Beyond’s Jono Grant. The event will take place across April 11th-12th in the Brighton Dome and other city venues and will also include a number of local acts including techno DJ Dave Clarke.

Red Blood Shoes release eponymous fourth album
Brighton-based duo Blood Red Shoes released their self-titled fourth album in March through Jazz Life records. The rock band recorded Blood Red Shoes in Berlin without any outside help and will be at Brighton’s Concorde on April 25th to perform tracks from their new 12-track album.
