Dirty Blonde is a 1920’s New York-inspired East Street speakeasy bar and club. Having had a small revamp in February to change the layout of the downstairs bar area to open the space and allow more natural light into the street-level lounge bar, this good looking bar is now firmly on the Brighton map as a Summer go-to place.
Ultimately, our aim is to put the drink the customer wants in the customer’s hand, so as ever we are happy to head off-menu for a huge range of classics, something to the customer’s own specification or, if challenged, a bartender’s original!
The bar now offers casual family dining throughout the day, with an incredible Kids Eat Free offer before 7pm every day, alongside their existing cocktail happy hour and late-night offerings.
The venue have also recently launched a new range of Craft Beers, Wine & Prosecco aimed at after work drinkers, as well as their new “Prohibition Cocktail Masterclass”, an immersive experience of cocktails with a speakeasy twist, with customers given the chance to try their hand behind the bar!”
Head Bartender, Kane Salts is passionate about his trade, “People don’t want to be intimidated by long drinks lists full of strong, spirit-only classics so we have tried to deliver a more approachable bar menu which strikes a balance between those strong drinks (Old Fashioned, Negroni, Dirty Martini), some modern classics (Bramble, Pornstar Martini) and some house originals & twists (Eastern Flower, Spiced Apple Rum, Prohibition Punch)”.
In true Dirty Blonde style, you can always expect a little something to keep us cocktail drinkers on our toes such as the Espresso Martini with the unexpected twist of spiced rum and hazelnut liqueur. It really is delicious.
With the downstairs bar open, the classic American grill influence on the food menu and the new drinks & cocktail menu there is something for everyone at Dirty Blondes and being right in the centre of town it’s a no brainer to pay this place a visit!
