Brighton & Hove Buses and Metrobus offer affordable travel options for ‘Catch the Bus Month’

And if you switch to the bus permanently, you could save up to £4,500 every year1

This September is Catch the Bus Month, which celebrates bus travel as a sustainable, inclusive and accessible form of transport that is affordable, reduces congestion, and good for the environment. With the cost of living rising and fuel prices higher than ever, there is no better time to get out of the car and onto the bus.

Customers across the South Coast can save huge amounts by switching to bus travel. For example; anyone who opts for the 12X from Eastbourne to Brighton instead of using the car will save over £4,500 annually1 (based on a five-day commute), and passengers who choose to ride the 5 from Hangleton to Brighton City Centre 3 days a week will save over £2,500.1 At Metrobus, travelling between Maidenbower and Crawley five days per week could save almost £2,200 a year by using the 100 service instead of the car (based on average fuel prices and car running costs from July 2022).1

Furthermore, Brighton & Hove Buses and Metrobus are offering passengers a range of affordable travel options that are available on an ongoing basis. Whether you’re traveling as a family, alone as a hybrid worker, a student, or with your partner, there are an array of great discounts available:

Not only is the bus still one of the most sustainable modes of public transport, it is also one of the cheapest. With offers that cater for all kinds of passenger, there has never been a better time to get out of the car and board our buses. The annual savings speak for themselves.”
