BRIGHTON RUN2MUSIC: SATURDAY MAY 30TH 2020
Brighton Run2Music is Brighton’s most colourful and entertaining running event which encourages people of all ages and genders to run together listening to a live DJ. On signing up, runners are asked to list their top 3 favourite tunes which our DJ will play during the day. 2019 saw over 1,000 participants taking part complete with fancy dress and big smiles. It is a friendly family event which attracts
lots of parents with buggies, runners with their dogs, disabled
participants, hen and stag do’s and many more. It is a great
opportunity to raise money for your chosen charity or take part just for fun!
Participants can dress as their favourite pop star or their musical
icon and run 5k, 10k or 21k whilst embracing the spirit of Brighton’s
two loves – _MUSIC AND RUNNING!_ All the races will be chip timed and there will be prizes for the best fancy dress. Runners and spectators will be entertained by live musicians, dancers, gymnasts and the warm up this year will be taken by Marta Scott, the renowned, vivacious professional dancer from Rio de Janeiro who runs her own dance school MSDC in Hove.
This year, for the first time, there will be a Scootathlon especially
for children aged 3 – 8 years of age where they scoot, bike and run
across 100m, 200 or 300m depending on age. This is a great
introduction to multi-sport and offers children the chance to feel
part of the event too!
