British Airways i360 Recruitment Days Announced

British Airways i360 has announced three recruitment days in their search for top candidates to fill around 80 jobs, both full- and part-time, that are being created when it opens this summer.

On May 25 at the Holiday Inn Brighton and on June 7 and 8 at the Hilton Brighton Metropole, Brighton their recruitment days will look for people to become “in-flight crew”; box office and retail assistants; security assistants and housekeeping crew.

As British Airways is the official sponsor of the new, record breaking attraction, staff will be required to wear the British Airways uniform with pride and meet their uniform standards.

The recruitment process promises to be high energy and ‘X-Factor’ style, where, after the first round consisting of an interview and group exercise, successful candidates will go onto the second round on the very same day. After the three recruitment days have been completed, the successful applicants will be informed of their new roles.

People interested in attending should book online at Sessions will be held at 8am and 12pm on all days, with additional later sessions on June 7 and 8.

British Airways i360 has signed up to the Living Wage Campaign in Brighton and Hove, making it one of the first major tourism attractions in the city to commit to paying its staff well over the minimum wage.

Separate recruitment days will be announced shortly for event and catering roles available at British Airways i360 working for caterer Heritage Portfolio and photography partner, Magic Memories, who will be recruiting photography sales assistants.

At 162 metres high, and with an observation pod rising to 138 metres (450 feet), British Airways i360 is the world’s first vertical cable car, the world’s highest moving observation tower and the tallest observation tower outside London, offering a new perspective on the fun loving seaside city of Brighton.

Their beach-side visitor centre, which includes a 400 seat restaurant, a shop, tea rooms, an exhibition, kids play zone, and conference and event facilities for up to 1,000 guests.
