British Artist Charlote esposito Solo Show at Junkyard Dogs Arts Cafe,
Brighton (born and bred) Artist Charlotte Esposito has been emerging on to the contemporary British Art Scene since 2012. In the last five years she has exhibited widely and has shown at some of the most cutting edge art events in London. Junkyard Dogs Arts Café, Edward Street, Brighton is set to host a solo show of Esposito’s work which will be on display there from the 1st April to the 4th May 2017.
The exhibition kicks off with an exciting launch night on Saturday 1st April 20.00 – 11.59pm with the Artist having organised special guest sets from local DJ’s DJLADYE and DJ42. The opening night fuses Art & Music in line with the artists love of progressive, urban events.
In the spirit of fair access to all entry to the event is free of charge, guests wishing to attend the launch can add themselves to the Facebook event online. A Q2 code for the launch can be found on the event poster / flyer. The show is then open daily to the public between 2nd April – 4th May, everyday except Sundays.
Esposito’s works are modern and evocative; sometimes paintings, other times fashion, often sculpture and occasionally wall art.
She paints, sculpts and manipulates the surface of her canvasses using not only brushes but screws, credit cards and other interesting implements. Her paintings cleverly unite traditional media with the unexpected by combining oils, acrylics and inks with materials such as alcohol, feather, thread, flowers, spray paint, gauze, collage and coffee. The work is unique and wide ranging and touches upon themes such as human connection, identity, femininity, the natural world, health, politics, spirituality, and the urban environment.
In 2012 she became a full time artist and was taken on by London gallery Debut Contemporary. Since that time her work has featured in numerous publications including ‘The Grove Resident’, ‘Stylist’, and ART HABENS Magazine. She has exhibited widely and has had solo showcase’s at the ‘Kleinwort Benson’ HQ’s and the ‘Saatchi and Saatchi’ private pub in London. Her work has sold in to public and private collections both online and via galleries, including sales via Saatchi ART. She has most recently been represented by Le Dame Art Gallery, London and she continues to work to private commission.
