Located on the southern end of Santa Eulalia bay, Chiringuito Blue is a beachside, open space which attracts a cosmopolitan clientele. Idyllic ambience and stunning sea views provide the perfect place to relax from day to night.
This season’s new dishes include the tasteful ‘Soft shell crab with salsa verde and homemade zhug mayonnaise’, a scrumptious and creamy salad made with ‘Charcoal cherry tomatoes, pesto and Stracciatella cheese’, or the exotic ‘Yellowtail shawarma with roasted peppers, onions and lentils’.
A selection of starters and sharing dishes such as ‘Warm chickpeas, tahini, grated tomato, turmeric’, their famous Shakshuka ‘2 sunny-side-up eggs in slow-cooked tomato stew served with pita bread and tahini’, or the always-popular ‘Creamy soft Iberican Joselito Ham croquettes’ make the art of dining a relaxed social affair. With special varieties of fresh fish and select seafood, the diverse menu offers something for everyone with plenty of healthy, vegetarian and vegan options.
Mains include more substantial options such as a ‘Charcoal-grilled free-range whole chicken with sage and Ibizan lemons’ or ‘Mezzi paccheri pasta with calamari and Sicilian cherry tomato’ and grilled catch-of-the-day. The extensive drinks menu includes a comprehensive wine list as well as cocktails using the finest spirits and homemade syrups.
Desserts are another special feature of the restaurant with original options such as ‘Ice cream sandwich’ made with vegan chocolate ice cream and crumble, corn crunch and wafer flake, vegan-friendly, lactose-free and with the possibility of ordering it gluten-free too. Other options include ‘Piña colada tart’ or ‘Cheesecake mousse’.
Chiringuito Blue’s philosophy centres on sustainability. With an emphasis on organic produce from the island, they believe in food that is good for the soul and good for the planet. They are deeply inspired by the sun and you can savour it in their unique selection of sun-kissed vegetables.
Children are welcome and are entertained by one of the island’s premier child-minding service companies every weekend at their eco-conscious kids’ corner. The Kids Menu offers a variety of tasty homemade dishes. Children are well entertained with games, face painting and crafts on the sand while the grown-ups relax on the shaded sofa.
The promenade kiosk offers coffee, tempting pastries and other healthy snacks to take away, perfect for those in a hurry or those who’d like to treat themselves to a tasty picnic on the sand.
Lunch and evening meal is served à la carte from 12:00 until late. Chiringuito Blue’s location and valet-parking ensure guests enjoy an unwinding experience from start to finish.
Chiringuito Blue is a fantastic place to enjoy a drink as an après-beach treat while the sun goes down. Evening meals at the restaurant, under the stars are the perfect way to end the day. Every Thursday evening throughout the summer brings ‘Jueves Blue’ a soirée of dinner, coctails and musical talent featuring a different artist every week.

About the Chef: Haim Cohen
Award-winning chef Haim Cohen (1960, Tel Aviv), is one of Israel’s top chefs and TV personalities. Cohen has been the leading judge on Israeli MasterChef for the past eight years and is one of the most respected chefs on Tel Aviv’s culinary scene. He opened his first restaurant, Keren, in 1985 serving nouvelle cuisine. Cohen currently has two leading restaurants in Tel Aviv: Dixie Grill Bar, a steakhouse opened in 1994, and Yaffo-Tel Aviv, opened in 2011, where his experience and personal taste come together. The chef is also culinary advisor to a number of high-end restaurants worldwide, including The Duchess in Amsterdam (awarded a Michelin star in 2017).
His love of Mediterranean cuisine brings him to the white isle where he curates the menu of Chiringuito Blue offering a unique concept. Here he can express his passion, bringing flavours from the eastern shores of the Mediterranean to Ibiza while focussing on fresh, local produce. The emphasis is on the quality of ingredients and highlights the rich legacy of Israeli flavours with influences from Greece, Turkey and Italy. Honest and pure food that provides a joyful experience bringing diverse people and cultures together.
About the Architects: Baranowitz + Kronenberg
Architecture studio Baranowitz + Kronenberg has developed the design of Chiringuito Blue. Founded in 1999 with bases in Tel Aviv and Amsterdam, the studio works internationally in both private and public sectors. The talented architects’ and designers’ portfolio includes five-star W Amsterdam hotel, linking two historical buildings, interiors of Sir Joan Hotel in Ibiza and award-winning restaurants such as Topolopompo and Pastel Brasserie in Tel Aviv.
The studio maintains culture at the forefront of each project and focuses on a narrative to reflect the brands’ DNA through the design. As a result, inspiration from the landscape of Santa Eularia is echoed in the casual but detailed design of Chiringuito Blue. The aesthetic of the beachside restaurant offers a laid-back and calm space using splahes of bright colours throughout.
About Chiringuito Blue’s relationship with Ibiza Preservation Foundation
Sustainability is at the core of Chiringuito Blue’s values, prioritizing local ingredients and a close connection to local environmental organizations and events. Chiringuito Blue collaborates closely with Ibiza Preservation Foundation which works to preserve Ibiza and Formentera’s unique environment and cultural heritage. They address several issues impacting the islands’ wellbeing including tourism, land use, water, energy, waste, biodiversity and transport. The restaurant collaborates with the fundraising initiative ‘1 Euro per Table for the Environment’ which IPF launched in 2013.
Chiringuito Blue is working towards being totally plastic-free, currently using 100% recyclable plastic and bio-degradable straws. The restaurant also organizes regular beach clean-ups to raise awareness of the importance of reducing waste.
