Come to The Grand, Brighton and enjoy a vintage cocktail experience
Watch the masters at work in a front row seat at the bar to enjoy all the action from the expert mixologists, or unwind in the terrace with an after-work cocktail as the sun sets.
The Victoria lounge bar at the Grand is the ideal place to celebrate or relax with your friends in style. You can expect to be treated to smooth jazz sounds from Matthew vanKan and a host of talented local musicians (see the Facebook page for dates).
The extensive bar menu includes a variety of expertly shaken or stirred cocktails and long drinks, as well as the alternative option to add a twist from the new summer cocktail collection.
Gabor Kovacs, Lounge Manager, has created homemade infusions and bitters to give a twist to the classic cocktail. Try a Bloody Mary (£8) with a homemade cucumber and rosemary vodka infusion or a modern Manhattan (£9.20), with infusions of vanilla and cherry. The Grand, Brighton have added new kids’ smoothies, shakes and non-alcoholic cocktails (£3.50 each) so the whole family can be involved too.
There is a choice of two Japanese influenced cocktails to try, which make the perfect accompaniment to the hotel’s Californian sushi roll platter (£8.25). Order the Sake Rise Wine Wasabi Martini (£7.50) with Sake rise wine, Wasabi gale, cucumber juice, lime juice or the Japanese Old Fashioned (7.50) with Hibiscus Bitter, Angostura Bitters, St-Germain Elderflower and Hibiki 12 Japanese whisky.
