Dog of the Week Shoreham Deaf Dalmatian Dreams of Forever Home
MeetRuben– a friendly, eight-year-old Dalmatian who will melt your heart as soon as you meet him. Gentle in his character, this affectionate boy loves nothing more than spending time with his favourite people. He doesn’t let being deaf or having epilepsy stop him from enjoying life to its fullest and has even learnt basic commands through responding to hand signals.
His ‘pawfect’ owners would be one’s who can continue working with him through sign language, and who are also confident in administering his daily medication.
Ruben is always keen to get out and about and walks beautifully on his lead but can be a little uncoordinated at times. His new family should be steady on their feet and able to guide him when he needs it.
Sociable amongst his canine chums, this sweet chap could potentially live with another dog, although he’d be just as happy as the only pet. He can also share his home with teens over the age of 16.
Ruben is currently enjoying some home comforts with his temporary Foster Carers, but he’d love a place to call ‘Forever’. Please don’t hesitate to contact the Dogs Trust Shoreham team on 01273 915100 if you think you may be the one that he’s been waiting for. The Rehoming Centre is based at Brighton Road, Shoreham, BN43 5LT.
