Can the UK go waste free this holiday season?
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, with people across the country getting into the spirit of giving by showering friends and family with gifts.

Whilst this can be an undeniably enjoyable experience, it can also be a time of year which make the eco-conscious among us cringe at the amount of pure waste which is left after gift packaging has been ripped off and disposed of. Travel deal experts Travelzoo recently asked people across the UK about their opinions on wastage around Christmas and found that 57%of us will be making more of an effort to be sustainable this festive period.

It appears that instead of giving physical gifts which may very well be stowed away in a cupboard after a couple of weeks, people are instead gifting experiences, which are more memorable and produce less physical waste. A third of people in the UK would prefer to go down this route this year.

So, what else does this UK think about wastage during Christmas time? Travelzoo have compiled their research into an infographic which you can see below!
