Drink & Dine: Aguadulce

Named after an area in Almeria, on the south coast of Spain, this tapas bar and restaurant ‘Agaudulce’ has been going for nine years, and it is certainly a fixed favourite.

The premises is divided into three, a bar area, restaurant area and a private function room for up to 25 people. In the bar area you can enjoy an original tapa free with your glass of wine or lager, which is a typically Spanish thing to do, while in the restaurant area you can try their Mediterranean cuisine which includes a huge selection of tapas, fresh local fish & seafood such as red mullet, oysters, mussels, scallops and native lobsters.

The fish board changes continuously so even if you are a regular here you can be pleasantly surprised with what is on offer that day. Everything is cooked with an Andalusian touch, both simple and fresh. Personally I would advise trying the Paella which is the restaurant’s speciality. It’s delicious.
