Focus Group successfully hosts its 3rd annual golf day in aid of Focus Foundation
On Friday 22nd September 2023 Focus Group’s 3rd annual Golf Day teed off in the glorious sunshine at East Sussex National Golf Resort, resulting in a staggering £52,198 raised in aid of Focus Foundation.
Over 100 guests enjoyed a round of golf in beautiful surroundings, including Snooker’s World Champion and guest speaker Dennis Taylor, who joined Chris Goodman, Co-founder and Director of Focus Group for 18 holes.
The annual events exemplify the Foundation’s philosophy of ‘Connecting Communities and Changing Lives’ by uniting members of the business community from across the UK whilst collectively supporting the impactful work of Focus Foundation.
Chris Goodman, Co-founder & Trustee of Focus Foundation commented “It’s a fixture in our fundraising calendar now, and our latest golf day did not disappoint. The weather was glorious, the course in great condition, and our guests were in a generous mood. A huge thank you to all our sponsors and supporters who helped us to achieve a great result. With so many grant applications waiting to be approved, these funds will immediately be put to use to help change people’s lives.”
Focus Foundation raises funds for grassroots charities covering three main themes – underprivileged children and young people, mental health initiatives and charitable projects, local to Focus Group’s UK regional offices.
In the last 18 months since launch, Focus Foundation has already provided over 50 grants, resulting in over 47,000 beneficiaries. Every penny raised goes directly to the charities they support with the promise of connecting communities to make a positive and lasting change to people’s lives.
Outside of the annual events and individual efforts, Focus Foundation 500 ensures access to regular funding, enabling the Foundation to respond quickly to grant requests, completing assessments and delivering funding in a timely fashion. The cost of joining the club, aimed at businesses, is a monthly donation of £100, which will help to change the lives of over 100 people every year.* Contact info@focusfoundation.org.uk for more information.
