Get Ready for Rouge! Reimagined Café Rouge in Haywards Heath will reopen under its new name Rouge

Café Rouge in Haywards Heath will officially reopen under its new name ‘Rouge’ on 22 November.

The newly renovated restaurant will be the first of a select few sites to trial new design concepts and menu options to improve ambience and create a more modern, and relaxing dining experience.

Rouge will continue to celebrate Parisian dining and the best of French cuisine, delivering relaxed quality and great value through a warm and inviting environment, excellent service and a carefully constructed French-influenced menu.

Executive chef, Bruno Bella has designed the new menu to bring to life the staples of classic French cuisine such escargot and bouillabaisse, combined with contemporary brasserie dishes like the scallop starter, baked in garlic and parsley butter with parmesan crumb and the vegan-friendly cauliflower steak with harissa hummus, toasted chickpeas and pomegranate. Served with frites, of course.

The fully renovated restaurant presents a fresh and inviting space, the perfect combination of casual and sophisticated, suitable for all-day dining and all occasions.

Outside the terrace areas has increased outdoor seating, as well as newly added outdoor lighting and heating, enabling al fresco dining on the Broadway all year round.

Steve Worrall, Brand Director, Café Rouge, said:

“We have done a lot of research over the last few months and paid careful attention to customer feedback. As part of our efforts to evolve the brand, we are constantly thinking about the future of our brands and how we can elevate our customer’s dining experience with us.

“We knew our Haywards Heath restaurant would make a fantastic first choice as a pilot restaurant and it will be the first of several sites where we will be piloting a number of different new concepts and ideas.

“We are very excited to showcase this new look and for Rouge to become a place for locals to reconnect in a beautiful environment. We encourage both the local community and its visitors to come and visit us at the new Rouge!”

Javier Llopis, General Manager of Rouge Haywards Heath, said:

“It’s been a wonderful experience working on this new concept for our restaurant. Guests can expect the same fantastic service with a new, fresher design and a contemporary feel.

“We cannot wait for our community to visit and try the delicious new dishes, carefully selected range of fine wines and the new Champagne cocktail selection.”

Café Rouge is owned by Big Table Group, who operate more than 150 restaurants across the UK and Ireland.
