Hilton Seychelles Celebrates 2019 RHS Chelsea Flower Show nautical theme with new ‘Under the Sea’ Package

April 2019…// As leaders in sustainability and conservation, Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa is delighted to unveil a new package to celebrate The RHS Chelsea Flower Show’s 2019 ‘Under the Sea’ theme, carefully chosen to shine a light on the Earth’s incredible natural resources. Guests booking Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa’s ‘Under the Sea’ package can enjoy a 30% discount and experience a host of eco-activities during their stay, promising an immersive and educational holiday at this gorgeous five-star hotel in north Mahé. From private talks with the Marine Conservation Society and guided snorkelling and diving in the coral reef, to discovering and learning more about the hotel’s artificial reef (the first of its kind in the Seychelles), and getting close to the island’s wild giant tortoises, this package offers marine lovers a chance to explore the island beyond its world-famous beaches.

This year, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show’s nautical theme is aimed at drawing attention to the oceans of the world, guiding the belief that everyone must work together to conserve and protect the seas. In recent years, Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa has worked hard to reduce its impact on the hotel’s surroundings, with a special focus on the coral reef and marine life. Current initiatives include the unveiling of a coral nursery, helping to protect and preserve the reef life along the island’s North-West coast; removing plastic bottles from the hotel and bottling their own water from Mont Dauban in glass bottles, cutting down on both plastic and transportation pollution; developing a coral adoption programme, allowing guests to be actively involved as they track the growth of their coral species long after leaving the hotel; and hosting regular beach clean-ups with staff and guests, helping to preserve the Seychellois flora and fauna.

Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa’s ‘Under the Sea’ package offers guests the chance to get hands-on and experience all of the hotel’s conservation efforts for themselves. Start the day with a talk by The Island Conservation Society, learning about the impact of climate change and coral bleaching on the marine life and what the hotel is doing to combat the effects, before enjoying a delicious lunch at Oceanview Bar where you can sample a range of fresh dishes, including locally sourced fish and vegetables grown in the hotel’s own kitchen garden. Guests can spend the afternoon immersed in the incredible underwater world off Beau Vallon – learn to dive with a marine conservation expert, snorkel along the hotel’s coral trail, or enjoy a glass-bottom boat cruise on the clear waters. The package also offers guests 30% off, so conservation and ocean enthusiasts can experience everything Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa has to offer at a reduced rate.

Available between 1st-30th May and 1st-20th December 2019, Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa’s ‘Under the Sea’ package has been created to coincide with The RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which takes place from 21st-25th May 2019.
