Josh Widdicombe: Bit Much… Worthing Assembly Hall, Thursday September 16.

Everyone’s favourite curmudgeon, Josh Widdicombe is coming to Worthing this September with his special brand of ‘charm and incurable exasperation with the modern world’ (The I) in a new stand-up show.

We all love a grumble, Josh Widdicombe more than most and that’s why his brand-new comedy special, Bit Much… is all about those everyday frustrations that drive him mad! It’s a stand-up act that will change your life and how you perceive your place in the world. Bit much? Fair enough. It’ll be a jolly night of jokes and gripes, and that’s it.

Widdicombe tackles the big issues. Say advent calendars, pesto, or the closing times at his local park. The hot topics of today which really matter, so much so the Evening Standard said of him, ‘If they made frustration an Olympic sport the Last Leg co-host would win gold every time’. He says the things we all wish we could, and has made moaning into an artform.

Widdicombe is the host of cult 90s podcast Quickly Kevin: Will He Score? and has appeared on some of the UK’s biggest panel shows such as QI, Have I Got New For You and A League of Their Own, as well as his own critically acclaimed sitcom, JOSH, Insert Name Here. He is perhaps best known though for his twice BAFTA nominated and multiple Broadcast and RTS award-winning show, The Last Leg, and has been dubbed ‘one of the most bankable talents in UK comedy’ (Guardian Guide). High praise indeed, but totally justified.

Josh Widdicombe: Bit Much… will be performing at the Assembly Hall on Thursday 16 September, 8pm. Tickets are available from £21.50. For more information on this or any of the events, visit www.wtam.uk or call the WTM Box Office on 01903 206 206.
