Moulettes release third album
Brighton-based folk-rock band, Moulettes, released their third album Constellations though Navigator Records on June 2nd. A band just as adept in the studio as they are on stage, Moulettes display their very accomplished musicianship and storytelling throughout what is a playful and enjoyable album.

Faux Flux single release
Electronic band, Faux Flux, released their new single You Know on June 2nd. The Brighton-based group began working together in 2012 in their bedroom and have now followed up last year’s Come Alive and Week Long War with this groovy new four-minute track.


O. Chapman album and single out now
Locally based singer O. Chapman released his album Discomfort on June 17th following the release of his first single from the EP, Relapser, at the beginning of the month. The album was recorded at his Brighton home and produced on a laptop over the course of a year and if you would like a taste, Relapser can be downloaded totally free via his Bandcamp page.

The BIMM Album
Students from the music institution BIMM have released an album showcasing the work of their students with all the money raised going to The Amy Winehouse Foundation. Hand picked students from BIMM Manchester, Bristol and Brighton all feature on Connections: The BIMM Album 2014 which is available on CD or all major digital retailers.

Passenger album release
Mike Rosenberg, better known to most as Passenger, released his new fifth solo album Whispers on June 10th. The new album was recorded in Sydney with producer Chris Vallejo and the Brighton folk-rock singer-songwriter said of his new release: “It’s quite cinematic. There are lots of big stories and big ideas. There are also some sombre moments about loneliness and death but, hey, it wouldn’t be a Passenger album without those. Mostly though, it’s a really positive album.”

The Mojo Fins release Circa
Brighton natives, The Mojo Fins, released their third studio album Circa on June 8th through Amazon Records. Following up 2011’s Shake The Darkness, the band are back with a bang and have never sounded better. Working with producer Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers), the four-piece have managed to create an album that incorporates infectious melodies, passionate vocals and sweeping choruses, making 2014 look like it could be their best year to date.

Mark Chadwick’s Moment now available
The Levellers’ frontman for the past 25 years, Mark Chadwick is undoubtedly one of the UK’s most successful songwriters having co-written 20 chart singles and six Top 40 albums. The Brighton-based artist released his second solo album Moment on June 16th with the motivation behind it to make something ‘quick, immediated and beautiful’ and he appears to have succeeded having recorded and mixed the album in seven days at Brighton’s Metway Studio.
