Jungles and Jubilees This Half Term at Drusillas Park

Keep the little ones half term happy with a zooper day out at one of the top attractions in Sussex – Drusillas Zoo Park near Alfriston.

New for May half term, Drusillas will open the doors to its brand-new attraction – The Rainforest Adventure – and invite visitors to be among the first to explore the jungle! Expanding on the beautiful theming of The Rainforest Carousel, the new area will bring a little bit more of that tropical animal magic to your visit. Step into the amazon and make wild memories on some of your favourite family-friendly rides!

In celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, visitors can also enjoy a special royal-themed train ride, regal decorations in the farm’s Cluckingham Palace, and jubilee treats in the restaurant during the extended bank holiday weekend.

Alongside the new attraction, Drusillas have also confirmed that they will now permanently offer free coin-operated rides throughout the Park. Originally put in place whilst work on the new attraction was carried out, seven kids rides, including Thomas the Tank Engine, Paw Patrol, and a wild west shooting gallery, will remain free of charge for all visitors.

Drusillas family friendly zoo offers little (and big) ones a wonderfully engaging animal experience, where the focus is always on ‘fun finding out’. Take part in free animal spotting activities, or test your strength against your animal friends in the Zoolympics.

Lucky visitors may catch a glimpse of the Park’s adorable ‘zoo borns’ so keep an eye out for a beautiful baby sloth, meerkat pups, and some new tiny monkey babes (and be prepared to fall in love!). And don’t forget to experience the zoo’s new immersive coati enclosure, and waddle along to the penguin pool and watch the Keeper feeding talks which run twice a day.

However, animals are only half the fun – go wild in huge, adventure playgrounds, bounce around in indoor soft play, and cross shark infested waters at a new climbing wall challenge. Once little explorers are done swinging, jumping and climbing they can get lost in the adventure maze and then meet prehistoric giants as they tip-toe through the Jurassic Jungle!

Drusillas boasts a number of fantastic rides – get your family-friendly thrills with unlimited rides on the Flying Cheetahs, Hippopotobus, and Safari Express Train in the Park’s Go Safari! area, take a magical ride on your favourite animal on The Rainforest Carousel, before heading into The Rainforest Adventure for more jungle fun!

Visitors can also book a session at the new immersive sensory attraction – SPARK – open all week, including SEND-only sessions every morning. See little eyes marvel in wonder as they explore this highly unique, interactive, sensory space. Dive into coral reef, leap across lily pads and splash among crocodiles. Watch the walls animate with your touch, design your own animals to release into the digital wild, and star in an augmented reality video atop a rhino, ostrich or zebra!

Located just off the A27 in Alfriston, Drusillas Park is open for May half term between 28th May and 5th June from 10am each day. Visitors who pre-book tickets via their website can enjoy 20% off, right up until midnight the day before they visit.
