Launch night at Zarqa Brighton
Earlier this month we were lucky enough to be invited to the Seafront hotel Selina Brighton for the launch of a Middle Eastern-style restaurant, Zarqa, providing a modern take on Middle Eastern flavours with international influences, using only fresh, locally sourced ingredients! It was certainly a night to remember with fantastic performances from internationally renowned DJ and music producer Saintpaul supplying his own brand of exotic techno sounds, and Eurovison contestant Eliza G singing her heart out! Not to mention all the incredible food we got to try on the night!
Branded as a modern take on traditional Middle Eastern and Arabian flavours, the restaurant will serve up dishes such as Turkish eggs, shakshuka, eggs Paxos and Balkan toastie made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.We got to try many of their dishes on the night and were completely bowled over by every single one of them! A veritable feast of delights from the heart and soul of the middle east. We loved flavours produced by all the fresh healthy ingredients! We even tried 3D printed “meat” on the night! A first for us and we absolutely loved it!
The space that Zarqa occupies at the front of Hotel Selina has to be seen to be believed. Sophisticated, sleek and effortlessly cool. A cosy setting with contemporary design and quirky touches, as well as a gorgeous panoramic view of the sea to boot! A gorgeous setting for a delicious healthy breakfast or brunch, and soon to be launched dinner menu!
Our night at Zarqa really was an really was an explosion for the senses from the minute we walked in the door to the moment we left! We had such a lovely time trying all the delicious Middle Eastern style dishes now available to the Brighton public, whilst taking in the incredible view and listening to some great music! The service is great, and most importantly the food is out of this world amazing. We cannot recommend Zarqa enough and cannot wait to go back to try out the rest of the menu!
