Leamington Spa’s Improv Comedy Troupe Hits Brighton Fringe!

Leamington Spa’s premier improv troupe is taking its side-splitting comedy show to Brighton Fringe Festival for the first time.

Formed in 2019, Leamprov has been performing regularly sold-out shows in Leamington Spa, Coventry and Nottingham over the past year. The Elephant in the Room is their quick-fire improvised sketch show, in the style of ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’. Audiences can expect the unexpected, as their suggestions will shape each scene or theatre game performed by the cast.

The show is named after Leamington Spa’s much loved unofficial mascots, the three elephants who were brought to the town in the late 19th century. Additionally, Leamprov’s own ‘elephant in the room’ is that no one knows what the show will be about –making each one a completely unique experience!

Group Founder James Cannon says, “The group are so excited to perform as part of Brighton Fringe. This will be our first ever fringe event and we can’t wait to perform and soak up the atmosphere.”

Leamprov will perform The Elephant in the Room on the 14th and 15th of May at the Caxton Arms in Brighton. The show is suitable for adults and children aged from 12 and up, with enthusiastic audience participation highly encouraged.

More information about upcoming events can be found on Leamprov’s website and social media pages.
