Lighthouse announces partnership with Plus X Brighton innovation hub to benefit Brighton’s young creatives

Arts and education charity, Lighthouse are delighted to announce a partnership with Plus X, a new innovation hub and work space opening in Brighton in March 2020. For the next 12 months, Plus X Brighton will offer complimentary work space for participants of Viral, Lighthouse’s acclaimed talent development and mentoring programme.


Lighthouse’s Viral programme supports young people from Brighton & Hove to develop their technical and creative skills, build their confidence and improve their professional prospects in the creative and digital industries. The current cohort of young people has been receiving weekly training, mentoring and peer-to-peer support since September 2019 and they are currently moving towards their final showcase.

Plus X creates inspiring work spaces in areas with unlocked potential to drive business innovation, community collaboration and positive social impact. Over 7 floors and 53,000 sq. ft, Plus X Brighton will offer over 550 desks with work space, event space, a natural food cafe and a wealth of supporting products and services including prototype workshop space and business growth expertise to help drive prosperity and wellbeing. Plus X Brighton’s diverse member community will include freelancers, startups, scaleups, corporates and education partners.

The partnership will be mutually beneficial, unlocking creative talent for the Plus X Brighton community and enabling the Viral cohort to network, collaborate and make use of specialist facilities within the innovation hub, helping them progress their work and careers.
