While it’s still a little bit on the chillier side of the scale for the time being, the latest spring / summer trends from the catwalk season have already arrived into the stores. Time to put away the skinny jeans, parker coats and heavy layers; it’s time to make room for the newest and most wearable trends for the warmer days ahead.
Safari
It’s hardly unheard of for menswear to have a uniform style design to them, and the colour khaki may have been over used in the past. This season shows us a palette of lighter, sandier tones, two chest pockets and chinos, inspired by the outback and safari. Surely a staple for spring this year.

Wide Leg Trousers
I couldn’t be happier to see the trend of skin tight trousers get left behind! There was a time where armies of men attempted to walk the streets in their spray-ons, now the wide legs are taking the stage. Skinny fit may be a new staple for most men, but a classic wide leg will never go out of style.

The 50’s Shirt
Listen up guys, this is probably the only time I will ever condone men’s short sleeve shirts, this shirt has a wider collar, and doesn’t button up past the bottom of the collar bone. Almost leaving an open chest- thus the 50’s shirt. Who doesn’t love retro style?

Chinoiserie
The term for Chinese influence in western culture. Embroidered bombers, pyjama style trousers and matching blouses. Oriental influences are huge this season, for men in particular. Think of it as an easy way to add a splash of culture to your wardrobe, and the embroidery is always going to be beautiful.
