Never Too Much

Words by Anya Zervudachi

After a particularly strenuous mid-week morning workout, it is not the first I find myself wondering round town tying to find something healthy, packed with protein and filling enough to take me through to lunch, before I head to the office.

When my colleague and I heard Mucho Burrito on North Street has started serving breakfast, we decided to pop in and check it.

Mucho Burrito offer an amazing breakfast deal of a coffee and burrito for only £4.00 (£4.50 for steak). The menu offers a varied selection of both vegetarian and meat burritos, all packed full of fresh, well cooked, well balanced ingredients.

My colleague decided to go for the Chorizo and Egg, while I decided to go all out after my workout and opt for the Steak, Eggs and cheese.

We were both very impressed to be offered the choice of white or wholemeal tortilla (I went for the wholemeal option) which was generously filled with grilled peppers and onions, scrambled eggs, well seasoned potatoes, cheese, sirloin steak and a delicious hot and spicy salsa.

The burrito was filled to bursting and every mouthful was absolutely delicious. The tortilla was soft and warm, the eggs and potatoes well seasoned, the peppers and onions adding that extra bit of bite, the steak was perfectly cooked with the sauces adding that little extra kick.

I must admit in the past I have been slightly under whelmed by some other breakfast burrito offerings, so I was exceptionally thrilled to have found a substantial and affordable alternative to the classic full English.

Mucho Burrito pride themselves on their fresh ingredients, with a particular focus on their selection of salsas which really set them apart from the immerging Mexican food scene in Brighton.

I will most definitely be back and can highly recommend Mucho’s breakfast Burritos to anyone after a delicious, filling breakfast with that little added spice to wake you up in the morning.
