Panoramic views of Brighton as City Sightseeing tours resume
One of Brighton & Hove’s favourite tourist attractions, an open-topped bus tour taking in the city’s most famous sights, started up again yesterday (Sunday 11 April).
The City Sightseeing bus offers panoramic views of Brighton’s elegant Regency architecture; iconic landmarks and attractions; historic streets; restaurants, bars and shops. It’s a welcome sign that life is opening up again after a year of lockdowns and social isolation.
Travel in comfort and style, guided by our audio tour packed with inside knowledge and fascinating facts about Brighton as you glide around the city. Relax and stay on for the entire loop or hop on and off the bus.
Hop off the bus for an ice cream at Brighton Palace Pier, walk across the beach, or do some shopping in North Laine. You can also check out the Pavilion, Hove Lawns, the i360 on the seafront, Sussex Cricket Ground, the Lanes and Royal Crescent, the Marina and the Volks Railway.
Your City Sightseeing ticket is valid for the day for unlimited travel on all Brighton & Hove Bus services, including up to the spectacular Seven Sisters on routes 12X or 13X, out to the historic town of Lewes on the 28 or up to Devils Dyke on route 77.
Brighton & Hove and Metrobus Managing Director Martin Harris said: “I’m really pleased to welcome locals and visitors back on to our City Sightseeing buses. They really are the best way to see Brighton. The open-topped bus gives you a privileged, bird’s eye view across one of Britain’s liveliest and most beautiful cities.
“Take a whistle stop tour around Brighton’s highlights and find your bearings in the city, or you can spend the whole day getting to know it using just one bus ticket. Our buses are clean, safe and accessible and we are looking forward to having our customers back on board, especially as the weather warms up.”
You can buy tickets on the bus with contactless or via our mobile app. Cash payments are still accepted but drivers appreciate the correct change, where possible, otherwise a change voucher will be issued. Passengers are asked to socially distance while on board.
People with a citySAVER or networkSAVER ticket are entitled to a 10% discount. Passengers who live locally, in the BN postcode, receive 10% off when buying a ticket from the driver (discount not available on the app). Please provide proof of residency.
Tours operate every day until 30 October 2021 between 1000 until 1700 once an hour. The tour operates every 30 minutes from Sunday 6 June.
