Petite Pantos Presents MAMA G’S STORY TIME ROADSHOW
The Warren Outdoor Season, August 7th – September 13th 2020
“A feast of hard-working show-biz glamour is here to enchant children and deliver grown-ups some much-needed reassurance and escapism for themselves.” LondonTheatre1
Mama G is out of lockdown and on her way to Brighton!
With the future of pantomime hanging in the balance there has never been greater need for a one-pantomime dame show! Full of all the sparkles, hilarity and outrageousness you expect – but with a beautiful message too.
Mama G’s Story Time Roadshow promises fifty minutes of stories and songs that celebrate being who you are and loving who you want.
Audiences can bring the whole family to meet Mama G’s cast of colourful creations: a confused horse, feuding fairies, a fashionista dinosaur, bonfires lit with dancing, airport trumpet players and soldiers in frocks! Mama G’s stories will have everyone laughing, thinking and loving in equal measure, with bucket loads of joining in and sharing in the theme of being YOU! There will be a different combination of stories at each show, so audiences can keep coming back until they’ve heard them all!
The show ran in London last year and has toured the UK twice. This will be its first visit to Brighton and Mama G is delighted to be back in town, helping bring live theatre back to this most wonderful of cities.
“EVERYONE’S FAVOURITE PANTOMIME DAME.”

About Mama G and Petite Pantos
Mama G’s Story Time Roadshow is Produced by Petite Pantos. It is performed and written by Robert Pearce (The Glenn Miller Story with Tommy Steele, Honk! Rainbow Live!) and is Directed by Amée Smith.
Panto dame Mama G first came to life, at the Cowley Café, during the 2018’s Brighton Fringe. Since then she has been all over the UK (and visited Canada and Texas) telling stories to children and their families, about being who you are and loving who you want. She has been proving very popular and has told stories for the South Bank Centre, HSBC, Disney, ZSL London Zoo, Pride in London and Camp Bestival, as well as theatres, schools, libraries, museums, bookshops, nurseries and pretty much anywhere else that will have her. In 2020 she had been booked to perform at Glastonbury and the Edinburgh International Book Festival, as well as presenting this show in the West End… but, well, we all know what got in the way of that!
During the pandemic, Mama G has been keeping up appearances with twice weekly Facebook lives, virtual pride appearances, bespoke online story times for libraries and schools and hosting and organising her very own digital family pride!
That being said… she is thrilled to have been invited to get back in front of an actual live audience again and bring her unique storytelling show to the Warren’s new beachside home!
Petite Pantos was founded in 2016 and produces theatre for young audiences and their families with a focus on inclusiveness and embracing & celebrating differences with the motto “Be who you are and love who you want”
Creating and performing “traditional pantos with a twist” they ensure all the joy of panto also includes a message of social and political importance. The company has focused on bringing panto to new audiences in venues not regularly used as performance spaces and in communities without regular access to arts or representation in arts.
“The show is perfectly suited for all audiences and we as a family adored it. Now – Everybody Say Love!”
