Popular Brighton blogger supports children’s charity at viewing tower

A popular parenting and lifestyle blogger has shown her support for the NSPCC by ‘getting her sparkle on’

Brighton-based mother-of-two and top influencer Fizzy Peaches visited the British Airways i360 viewing tower on Wednesday to take a sparkly NSPCC selfie.


December 11thmarked Get Your Sparkle On Day, part of the children’s charity’s Christmas campaign ‘Light For Every Childhood’.

As part of this campaign, the public are encouraged to ‘Get Your Sparkle On’ to show their support for the children’s charity on December 11 by wearing sparkling clothing or organising sparkle-themed events.

In support of the campaign Brighton’s BA i360 will help raise awareness by offering a 10% discount to visitors who take a selfie with an NSPCC sparkly picture frame in the ticket hall and share it online.

Selfies should be uploaded to social media with the hashtags #SparkleOn and #BAi360 to claim the discount and enjoy the attraction’s beautiful seafront views.

The month-long collaboration, from December 2 to January 2 is a unique show of support for the NSPCC’s Christmas appeal, ‘Light For Every Childhood’.

Fizzy Peaches, who has an online following of more than 42,000, said:

“I’ve been looking forward to supporting the NSPCC’s ‘Get your Sparkle On’ at the Brighton i360 to help and raise awareness for the children that may be less fortunate this Christmas and all year round.

“I wore my sparkly festive jumper and snapped a selfie with the Sparkle frame – pop by to do the same and you’ll be helping to support this important cause to help prevent child abuse and cruelty.”

One in five children in the UK have suffered abuse – and this Christmas Childline counsellors in London will speak to hundreds of children about issues including suicidal feelings and self-harm – when they often have nowhere else to turn.

The NSPCC is here to help, but sadly one in three calls to its Childline service will go unanswered. That’s why every penny raised is so vital.

Every sparkle, every sequin and every pound raised for the NSPCC helps protect children. Just £3 helps our Speak Out Stay Safe programme teach a primary school pupil how to recognise abuse and get help, and £90 will provide a special assembly to 30 primary school pupils.
