RadioReverb To Air Blood Culture Drama As Bedtime Halloween Special

Brighton’s RadioReverb will be marking Halloween this year by airing hit audio drama Blood Culture. Following interns A’isha and Livi as they investigate their nightmarish employer, the fictional tech giant ‘Meta’, this bio-medical thriller explores topical anxieties about the harvesting of personal data, exploitation of Millennial interns and the pervasiveness of corporate control in our everyday lives.

The drama was originally written and produced by Brighton based Lance Dann for Resonance FM. Blood Culture was funded by the Wellcome Trust and supported by the University of Sussex and the University of Brighton, and now RadioReverb has agreed to air the drama for its listeners. Blood Culture went on to become the number 1 arts podcast on UK iTunes* and was nominated for Best Fictional Storytelling at the 2017 ARIA awards.

As a multimedia experience, the story isn’t just bound to the airwaves. Listeners can visit the drama’s website to view the supporting films, blogs, audio and interactive phone experience so they can attempt to piece together the mystery for themselves. RadioReverb Director Tracey Allen said “Blood Culture will be the perfect Halloween treat for our listeners. RadioReverb is delighted to be broadcasting such a fantastic project and giving more people the chance to hear this brilliant thriller.”

Catch Blood Culture every night at 10pm from Friday 27th to Tuesday 31st October on RadioReverb. Other ways to listen will be via the Listen Again button at www.radioreverb.com
