“REGENCY RADIO BRIGHTON ANNOUNCES A NEW ARRIVAL PLUS SCHEDULE CHANGES.
REGENCY RADIO, BRIGHTON is pleased to announce that Lynsey Bartlett, ex Heart FM breakfast DJ is joining the team with a new Saturday breakfast show from 7 to 10am starting from Saturday 16th of April, with a revamp of the schedule set to launch from Monday 18th of April. That takes the number of presenters to 15 having started with just 3 when the station was first created during the lockdown and being officially launched at the end of May 2021 on DAB+, Smart Speakers, Regency Radio Mobile App and online.
REGENCY RADIO is the 1st Advert free Nonstop music station in the UK and has already achieved amazing audience figures in a short period of time, outperforming its more established competitors in Brighton & Hove with 59,000 listeners in the 16 to 60 age group from its potential audience of 300,000 listeners on DAB.. With its success the station has been offered the chance to get on the Sussex Multiplex to cover all of Sussex on DAB plus parts of Kent, Hampshire and Surrey that will increase its potential audience from 300,000 to 1.7 million listeners, so are looking for investors to help Regency achieve that goal soon.
REGENCY RADIO Mark Dobson, leads the Breakfast show on the digital station from 7am to 10am weekdays while the first change sees Simon Blaxland, move from Weekends to take over Mid Mornings from 10am to 1pm. Jay Jackson does his Nineties Rewind from lpm to 4pm while Richard Thomas drives the listeners home from 4pm to 7pm.
Next, Carlos Espanol presenters his Roller Disco show from 7 to 9pm while Ambrose Harcourt, “Mr Lurve” anchors the station from 9pm to Midnight helping the listeners wind down with the best love show anywhere on the Radio playing the best love songs with the LOVE HOUR.
One of Regency Radio’s newest asset is “TRAVEL NICK” who joined us just over a month ago and has brought a fresh perspective to the way we report traffic and travel in Brighton & Hove and Sussex and is proving extremely popular with the listeners.
The weekend schedule sees changes too as Lynsey Bartlett kicks off Saturdays with the Breakfast show from 7 followed by Talia and Scotland with their look at what’s great about the City of Brighton & Hove that listeners might want to be part of till 1pm when Tony Portelli who has moved from Mid mornings weekdays to weekends presents the first of his 2 weekend programmes, one on the “Sounds of the 80’s” till 3pm when Martin Grenfell presents the “Bit in the Middle”.
Lynsey Bartlett said “My obsession with radio started early; as a kid I would squirrel myself away with my top-loading cassette recorder and make pretend shows for hours on end. But dreams can come true, and I have been lucky enough to work in this crazy industry most of my adult life. I am delighted to be joining this great team of Presenters on Regency Radio who have created the station that everyone in the city is talking about”.
Saturday evening is dedicated to dance in a city like Brighton with its cosmopolitan, diverse, vibrant population DJ Azjack plays the best in Funky, electro, current and Classic house from 5pm to 7pm before Lee Everest presents, “The Dance Party” till 10pm with the night rounding off with “BRIGHTON CLUB CLASSICS”.
Sundays is just as diverse as Breakfast on Regency is served by Ambrose Harcourt playing the best of Soul and Motown in “Sunday Soul Breakfast” from 7am to 10am before our weekday breakfast DJ, presents “Mark Dobson’s Sunday Service”.
One of the most talented DJs in the UK is a Brighton resident, so Mike Panteli presents “Sweet Grooves” on Regency Radio from 2pm to 4pm where Tony Portelli returns for his second weekend show till 6pm before Martin Grenfell takes over till 9pm before handing over to Ambrose Harcourt for his second show of the day as he presents the legendary “LOVE ZONE” playing the not to be missed “Love Bites Top 3”, the choice of one of the listeners and of course the best love songs on the radio till midnight.
