16 passionate, emerging artists collaborate and use theatre as a platform to voice the unspoken issues that happen under a holy roof.

The play explores faith, community, the relationship between the LGBTQ+IA Community and religion. As well as young people and religion. Creating an unorthodox, compelling, avant-garde, unmissable play. This production is a debut for the Director Elena Yianni and her new theatre company A Million Dreams Theatre. The show Revelations is premiering at Brighton Fringe Festival with performances at St. Marys Church on both May 26th and May 27th, 2022.

Saoirse D Byrne, Revelation’s writer, said: “As a queer person who was raised and educated within the Catholic community, my relationship with religion has always been something that I have been keen to explore within my writing. I am constantly seeking to question and develop my understanding of my own personal faith, and how – or even if – I can consider myself a part of an institution which is so deeply flawed, and how I can reconcile my own personal beliefs with the actions of the Catholic Church, considering all the harm that has been caused by the people in power.”

Revelations will take to the stage at Brighton Fringe with a preview on May 26th and a follow-up performance on May 27th, 2022. The show will return to the rehearsal room before its final showstopper performance on July 5th, 2022, in Kingston Upon Thames (Venue TBC) as part of FUSE festival. It includes original music composed by Alex Brown (https://www.apprenticepianist.com/music-for-tv-film) and live singing.
