Students queue for up to eight hours outside wagamama for free katsu curry
wagamama gives away over 8,000 katsu curries to celebrate National Katsu Curry Day
Students today queued outside wagamama as the first 50 students and apprentices at each of its restaurants nationwide were given free katsu curries to celebrate National Katsu Curry Day.
At wagamama noodle lab in Marlborough Street, London, scores of students and apprentices queued outside hoping to get their hands on a free katsu curry. Some students even arrived as early as 7am to ensure they were first in line for the iconic dish from 3pm. Two lucky students also won free katsus for an entire year.
Comedian and President of the noodle union, Niko Omilana, caused a stir at wagamama noodle lab, as he helped serve katsu curries and dined with students.
With its 160 restaurants nationwide, wagamama gave away 8,000 katsu curries to mark the special day.
