Sussex Scott, Gavin Harvie Hair wins National Wedding Industry Awards 2022– Wedding Hair Stylist of the Year
Brighton-based wedding hair stylist, Gavin Harvie, 48 swept to victory at the National Wedding Industry Awards in London on Wednesday night (February 23rd).
The Scottish-born stylist, who’s taken the title of South-East Regional winner for the last two years, was thrilled, and not a little shocked, by his win.
Comments from friends and fans on his Facebook page sum up why he’s such a big hit in a highly competitive profession. “Your hard work, commitment, passion and flair have paid off,” and “what a night for you – given to the right person for all the right reasons, not only are you talented but kind, warm and funny.”
Gavin explains: “It was totally unexpected. I went from chilling and thinking to myself this is a nice party, doesn’t everyone look gorge, to hearing my name called and needing a stiff drink! It had to be a small one though as I had an early start the next day for a client’s hair trial! I’m not sure how the judges picked me when I was up against the most amazing stylists but I’m genuinely thrilled and honoured. This recognition is special.”
Gavin is known for creating boho waves as much as elegant up-dos or big Hollywood curls. His clients frequently praise him, not only for the gorgeous ‘wow’ he brings to their wedding day hair, but his calm demeanour, professionalism, discretion, and his eye for special detail.
