Sussex wicketkeeper-batsman Sarah Taylor claimed her third consecutive ICC Award after winning the ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year this week.
Taylor, 25, was England’s standout performer as the team wrapped up a historic 2-0 ODI series victory against the West Indies last November.
In the second match she scored an unbeaten 55 before going on to smash a blistering century off only 108 balls in the deciding match.
The right-hander made it a hat trick of awards after winning the ICC Women’s T20I Cricketer of the Year award in both 2013 and 2013.
“Sarah Taylor continues to excel and excite both with the bat and behind the stumps,” ECB Chairman, Giles Clarke, told ecb.co.uk. “To win three annual ICC awards in a row demonstrates a quite remarkable level of skill and consistency.
“She has played some incredibly entertaining and significant innings over the last 12 months but none more impressive than her match-winning hundred to help seal a historic series victory for England women in the West Indies at the end of last year.”
