Terre a Terre teams up with the Rockinghorse this Christmas,

Terre á Terre is proud to be working alongside a number of other Brighton Restaurants to deliver the Rockinghorse Christmas campaign this year.

An optional £1 will be added to bills across the festive period (six weeks from Friday 18 November), to help Rockinghorse continue its vital work supporting the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital (the Alex), Trevor Mann Baby Unit (TMBU) and other children’s services across Sussex.

Rockinghorse have recently launched their 50th year appeal ‘Sussex Giving for Sussex Children’, where they aim to provide £500,000 worth of funding which will be split between 10 worthy children’s centres and paediatric services across Sussex. They are striving to make these services stimulating, cutting-edge and accessible for the many babies, children and young people who need them through their 50th year initiative in 2017 and make a real difference by supporting some truly deserving projects.

All money raised by the participating eateries and their customers, will be going towards their Sussex Giving for Sussex Children appeal. Terre á Terre last year, raised over £1,000 through their £1 on the bill restaurant campaign, and are delighted to be working Rockinghorse again in 2016.

“Many of our customers and staff have benefited from the work of Rockinghorse both at the Alex and other services they support, so it is great to be able to be part of this initiative. We plan to start adding an optional £1 on the bill from mid-November and run the campaign until the end of December.

“The additional £1 on the bill was received really well last year, and having well informed staff to answer any questions from the customers really helped to boost funds. Rockinghorse provided place cards for the tables so that the customers were able to see where their donation was going. We hope to be able to raise over £1,000 for the charity this Christmas.”    – Olivia Reid, Terre á Terre.
