THE BIG SCREEN RETURNS And kicks off with EUROS 2020

Brighton Marina are delighted to announce that Brighton’s Big Screen will be returning this summer.

Between Sunday 13 June – 11 July, the 5m x 3m LED screen will be erected in the Village Square overlooking the inner harbour.

The Marina has scheduled a month of free summer entertainment and live sport with daily broadcasts from the host cities of the Euro 2020 matches & Wimbledon.

Sophie Chandler, Marketing Manager for Brighton Marina said, “We are so pleased to be able to offer this exciting opportunity for the Brighton community and our  Marina residents. It has been a tough year and we all need something to look forward to. The fact that it is an outdoor venue & event fits perfectly with all the new social distancing rules, enforced by Covid.”

Sophie continued, “We will manage social distancing in line with government guidance & ensure that there is adequate signage advising on the rules. We are providing additional security officers for the event to actively monitor.  We really welcome the opportunity to show a summer of entertainment and popular sporting events that we missed last year. ”

The screen goes live on Sunday 13 June at 2pm with England’s opening game against Croatia. Twenty-four teams will be playing across 51 matches in 12 cities throughout the month.

In between the Euros and Wimbledon, the general public will be able to enjoy a variety of family favourites such as Toy Story 4, Frozen II, The Hunger Games and Mamma Mia. Viewers will be able to sit on the man-made lawn and benches & refreshments will be available from a variety of venues around Marina.
