The IVY in the Lanes Brighton opens May 2nd.
To celebrate the reservation lines opening, The Ivy in the Lanes served breakfast in the sea to members of Brighton swimming club. The hungry swimmers were served breakfast complete with champagne after their morning swim. Brighton pier served as their backdrop, in an entertaining morning that resulted in some striking images.
Following the refurbishment of its location in the historic south lanes, The Ivy in the Lanes has announced that the brasserie will open its doors on Wednesday, 2 May 2018, with reservation lines open from today (Thursday, 12 April).
To celebrate the announcement, The Ivy in the Lanes provided a unique dining experience for the hungry members of Brighton Swimming Club. Eight members of the club were served breakfast in the sea by The Ivy in the Lanes waiters after an early morning dip. This is thought to be the first time that a Brighton restaurant has served breakfast in the sea, in a dining experience that echoes the city’s eccentric charm.
The Ivy in the Lanes will offer all-day dining, seven days a week, from dawn until dusk. The brasserie’s informal yet sophisticated interior will feature Brighton-inspired artwork, including pieces depicting the pier, sea life and Brighton beach, all set against a backdrop of leather banquettes, a striking onyx bar and pendant lighting.
An enticing cocktail list will sit alongside the dining menu, featuring a choice of traditional and contemporary bespoke cocktails. Offerings will include a Candy Floss Fizz, incorporating prosecco, rosé, lychee, ginger & Havana 3-year-old rum, and a Pavilion Passion, with fresh passion fruit shaken with vanilla infused Wyborowa vodka, finished with flaming rum in a passion fruit shell.
The Ivy in the Lanes will be an exciting addition to the creative hub of Brighton, a city with a strong digital culture that also celebrates theatre, music and art. The launch will come at the start of Brighton’s festival season; with Brighton Fringe, Brighton Festival and The Great Escape offering an exciting programme of events, the city is set to come alive as residents and visitors alike join in on the festivities.
The Ivy Collection’s new haunt will hold back a proportion of tables, allowing visitors to drop in throughout the day at their leisure, without booking. The Ivy Collection is a group of restaurants, brasseries and cafés, offering accessible, all-day dining for locals and visitors alike. Each location is carefully handpicked to value, reflect and add to the local area.
