The Ivy in The Lanes invites guests to be beside the seaside in collaboration with Plymouth Gin

September 2020: The Ivy in the Lanes, situated in the heart of Brighton, is delighted to announce the launch of its ‘retro seaside’ installation and limited-edition cocktail menu in partnership with Plymouth Gin. Launching on Monday, 31 September until Sunday, 4 October the installation and cocktails are inspired by the iconic 1950s British holiday.

Adorning the restaurant’s entrance will be a series of colourful beach huts in vibrant blues and bright oranges, synonymous with the famous Brighton Pier, a lighthouse and florals, whilst the collaboration will also see four, bespoke creations added to the brasserie’s already extensive drinks menu.

Guests will be able to enjoy refreshing creations such as the Sicily to Sussex G&T (£9.50) featuring Plymouth Gin, plus Sloe Gin topped with Fever-Tree Sicilian Lemon Tonic and garnished with fresh lemon slices, and the Candy Cosmo (£9.75) made with Plymouth Gin, Chambord, Pineapple Juice and Lime Juice, topped with a candy floss garnish. Those looking for a fruity twist can also enjoy the Brighton Rock (£9.50), expertly made using Plymouth Gin, Crème de Apricot, Fever-Tree White Grape & Apricot Soda, and a mini stick of rock, and lastly, the Sloe Boat to Brighton (£9.75) featuring Plymouth Gin, Sloe Gin, Lemon Juice and Sugar, making for a refreshing summer cocktail.

With a dash of vintage and a twist of nostalgia, the brasserie has found the ultimate recipe to while away those long evenings in the heart of Sussex as the seasons transition from the height of summer into September.

About Plymouth Gin

Plymouth Gin is loved by bartenders and Gin connoisseurs alike thanks to its unique taste and the fact it is made using the same recipe since 1793. Handcrafted in the UK’s oldest working Gin distillery, the brand is a pioneer in the industry, paving the way for the modern Gin brands of today. A smooth, citrus-led gin made by a small team of artisans and distillers using seven hand selected botanicals. Originally used in the classic Dry Martini recipe, Plymouth Gin continues to be a favourite for classic cocktails such as the Martini, Pink Gin and Gimlet.
