Winter and Festive Joy by the Seaside
Nestled into the cliffside of Boscombe beach on the Dorset coast with stunning uninterrupted views of the sea, the Bournemouth Beach Lodges make for a perfect UK coastal break all year round, including at Christmas and New Year.
These contemporary little houses by the sea are open plan with a mezzanine level sleeping area, a bespoke central staircase that doubles up as shelving, modular furniture, and clever, simple storage solutions plus a spacious private wooden terrace. Every Lodge is heated, has WIFI, a television, a shower room and toilet, a well – equipped kitchen, top quality bed linen and everyone is welcome, including dogs!
Laura Gadd, Beach Lodges Manager says, “If you’re looking for an unusual, stress – free and safe Christmas or to welcoming in the New Year by the sea, come down to the Bournemouth Beach Lodges for seven days of fresh air, sandy beaches, relaxing walks, great restaurants and vibrant bars and cafes. Each Lodge is perfect for couples or small groups and my amazing team have already been working really hard to put in place a perfect festive getaway for all our guests.”
A stay at the Lodges can be as active or as chilled as guests wish, whatever the time of year. For those looking for a full festive experience the wonderful Christmas Tree Wonderland runs from November 19 2021 until January 2 2022 and there are plenty of seasonal shows, pantomimes, and New Year’s Eve Club nights to be enjoyed across the region. Meanwhile, the seemingly endless expanse of sandy beach right in front of the Lodges is perfect for long, invigorating winter walks or runs. Bikes can be easily hired and are a very convenient way of exploring the whole area, including Bournemouth and its neighbouring towns of Poole and Christchurch which sits on the edge of nearby Hengistbury Head, an extraordinary conservation area of natural beauty.
Slightly further afield but well worth visiting are the New Forest and the Purbecks. Many of the region’s top-quality bars, restaurants and cafes will also be open for business while water sports of all kinds are in abundance along the whole seafront and at locations dotted around the expansive, mesmerizing Poole Harbour and the smaller, but charming Christchurch Quay. Culture and social history are available at Bournemouth’s cliff top Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum, Poole Museum and, nestled in the heart of historic Christchurch, The Red House Museum.
The Bournemouth Beach Lodges are owned and managed by BCP Council
